Jeanie T. Groves celebrates her 35th year of teaching decorative painting in 2008.  She has had the opportunity to study with many fine artists over the year and credits these teachers with helping her own artistry to develop.

Jeanie passed the NSDP's (National Society of Decorative Painters) certification program for artists in 1980.  She taught at twenty NSDP National conventions and for numerous mini conventions, shops, and painting groups across the country.  Two of Jeanie's silk paintings have been juried into the NSDP Decorative Arts Collection.  She has also won numerous state and local Best of Show awards for her decorative art and is highly sought after adjudicator.

Jeanie has written six how-to books on silk painting, and many pattern packets and articles for painting magazines.  She appeared on a segment of Home Matters on the Discovery Channel.
